Why should we use The Web Company / Correspond for email marketing?

What if we don't have an email database?

We can help you establish an email database through an acquisition program. It's all about getting the information you need from your clients and there are many ways to do it.

  • Your Web Site – We can insert a prominent pointer to a subscription form on every page of your web site. This can be followed up with a well-thought out welcome email.
  • Call Centres – If any part of your business includes people speaking directly to customers on the phone, be sure to ask for an email addresses and permission to send information. Existing client data can be imported into Correspond.
  • In-Person – Take full advantage with the face-to-face contact you have with your customers. Use your point-of-sale, self-service kiosk or trade show stand to encourage customers to provide their details. This can include a competition to enter your details on a specific landing page on your web site.
  • Print and Magazine Adverts – Take full advantage with the face-to-face contact you have with your customers. Can I use the email addresses I have already collected?

As long as your client or customer is aware you collected their email address for the purpose of sending out promotional material, then it is okay. We can collect your current database from you via email or CD / DVD, and then provide your business with additional avenues to collect new email addresses that adhere to the 2003 Anti-Spam Act. We do not recommend purchasing email lists. If you have a large number of clients without email addresses, we can work with you to produce a campaign that will help update their details online.

Who owns the names in my email database?

The contents of your database are yours. We provide you with a service for collecting and uploading the details into a database, but the data belongs to you. Top

How do I obtain a copy of my email database?

The Web Company will provide you with login details to your account so you can view your database online at any time. You can manage your subscribers and view reports for specific campaigns in real-time. Top

When do my emails go out?

The Web Company will work with you to establish a campaign schedule for a 12-month period and also establish a frequency cap that is best for your industry type. Whatever the frequency cap is, the key is consistency. Top

How long does will it take for my campaigns to get up and running?

Once you have registered with Correspond, you will receive information from The Web Company within three to five working days. You will be required to sign a letter of engagement before we begin any work. Once this signed document is received, and depending on design and production requirements, we expect to be able to provide you with your first campaign within a week. Top

How long is the agreement for?

Online marketing does need time to build up your database and reach your audience. We recommend partnering with The Web Company and working on a campaign schedule for at least one year. The more addresses you collect, the more cost-effective your program will be. Top

How secure is my list of email addresses?

Your list is very secure. Your database is hosted at fully redundant data centre, with multiple layers of data security. Top
